Home Sweet Home

Hello!

Well, Matthew and I are very excited to be in our new home here in Ojai, Ca. The last two weeks have consisted of packing, loading, cleaning, driving, cleaning, unloading and unpacking!!! Yet, what a wonderful experience it has been! I took some pictures along the way; click here to check them out.

Although we are staying busy with moving stuff, we have had some time to enjoy our new location. On Sunday we joined our friends at Calvary Chapel as residents for the first time and enjoyed the farmer’s market afterwards (only a few blocks from our home!)

That’s about it regarding moving. I would like to thank everyone who has left comments about our engagement, marriage and my graduation…we feel so loved!

Hi everyone. We’re back from our honeymoon and from our trip down to Ventura/Ojai to find an apartment. I finally had a chance to go through the wedding pictures and prepare them for the web. I’ve posted the pictures here.

We’re also looking for any photos of the wedding, reception, and rehearsal dinner. If you have any, we would appreciate them. The best way to get them to us is to burn a CD of high-res images. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Worship, Travel and Wedding Plans

Danielle and I have been very busy in the past few weeks (as any of you who have planned weddings can imagine). Between monthly trips to Calvary Chapel Ojai for our pre-marital counseling with Pastor Dan Nelson and his wife Shelly and family road trips we’ve both had our plates full.

While we were down in Ojai two weeks ago, Danielle and I had the pleasure of leading worship. To hear a song from our set, click here! Note: you can download the file by right-clicking and selecting “save linked file as…”

We have a great time singing together. Let us know what you think of our music! If you are a record label executive we would be happy to discuss signing on to your label ;)

As I mentioned, we’ve both been traveling quite a bit. In addition to our monthly trips down to SoCal, I just got back from a 5-day road trip with my brother, Alden. We drove out to Colorado Springs, CO for the Focus on the Family Institute Reunion. It was a great drive out there (we put about 2,500 miles on my car) and was fun to reconnect with friends and see what everyone is up to.

While Alden and I were gone, Danielle had her bridal shower. I would love to post pictures here, but haven’t seen them yet… The only thing I know is that they had a lot of fun. If you want to find out more about the shower, you’ll have to ask Danielle or one of the attendees.

Danielle took a weekend trip with her family to Fort Bragg, CA (not to be confused with Fort Bragg, NC) a few weeks back. They had fun hanging out in town, visiting the Spunky Skunk toy store and relaxing on the beach. Right now, she is up in Oregon visiting her Aunt Amy with her brother, Nathan.

That’s about it. We’re on the countdown to the wedding — less than 3 weeks to go!

Another College Graduation!

We had a wonderful surprise a few weeks ago. Danielle met with her college guidance counselor to find out about transferring her credits to Ventura Community College. The counselor told her that she had enough credits to graduate that Friday with an Associate of Arts degree.

At this point one may ask how it is possible for someone to not know that she could graduate. In fact, I asked myself the same question. As it turns out Danielle had been working on a dual major and thought that she had to finish both degrees at the same time. Ergo, on May 26th at 7:00 P.M. Danielle walked out on the field at John Cowan Stadium to graduate in the Butte College Class of 2006.
